Varen Technologies is looking for Help Desk Specialist in support of our prime contract which provides a variety of services to include back end web application development, COTS implementation, custom software support, basic server support and coding changes and enhancements to existing systems. This will be done within a full life cycle environment.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to

Varen Technologies is looking for Help Desk Specialist/Technicians in support of our PRIME contract


  • Provide oversight for data flow to and from IT systems. 
  • Duties include:
    • Monitoring directories for files that need to be transferred to other systems.
    • Assisting users with account creation.
    • Assisting users with accessing and using IT systems.
    • Responding to customer queries and escalate issues to System Engineers or System Administrators.
    • Updating Standard Operating Procedures documents to adapt to new system functionality or configuration changes.


Help Desk Specialist/Technician shall be able to perform the following indicated tasks:


  • Develop an understanding of the numerous process flows to other IT systems, Create and maintain user accounts that involve Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates, Provide updates to technical and non- technical application documentation, Execute canned scripts to process data files.
  • Execute canned database queries to aid in problem determination, Provide daily written and oral communications with the customer, Make recommendations for improving documentation, Assist with executing test procedures for software components.
  • Ensure compliance with security procedures for data handling, Participate in planning sessions for process improvement, Create Help Desk tickets in the designated ticket tracking system, Compile and organize data for monthly status reports.



  • Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a technical degree field is required
  • or two (2) years of Help Desk experience.


Demonstrated two years experience is required in the Domain Area


  • Experience with Help Desk support tasks involving creating user accounts, granting permissions, and responding to trouble tickets.


Must possess an active TS/SCI/Poly clearance for consideration.
