Responsibilities include, but not limited to

Team Varen is seeking a Computer Network Operations Analyst/Programmer to bring their A-game in suport of this Department of Defense team. This is an opportunity to support a challenging and mission-critical projects in Computer Networks Operations (CNO) by designing and developing custom software of CNO tools and techniques.


REQUIRED: Successful candidates must have at least 8 years’ experience in computer science, information systems, or network engineering with at least 6 years programming experience (Assembly, C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, and Python). Must be strong in C and Python Scripting. Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience developing Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments OR 5 years’ experience developing UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments. Must have experience in Reverse Engineering using various debugging tools (i.e. IDA Pro, WinDbg, OllyDbg or similar). Must have at least 2 years’ experience in each of the following: Developing programs to capture, analyze, and interpret network traffic; Developing packet-level programs Expert packet-level understanding of IP, TCP, and application-level protocols; Experience in network sockets programming; and Experience programming device drivers in Windows and/or UNIX variants.

DESIRED: Ideal candidates will have the ability to lead CNO Analyst/Programmers in daily tasks, setup and configure version control software (i.e. Subversion, CVS, etc.), debug software and troubleshoot issues, and create and brief technical presentations. Expert in UNIX kernel internals and/or low-level Windows internals. Experience with Django, Python, C/C++, Jenkins and/or Jira are a plus as well as developing in a cross-compiler environment (i.e. ARM, PowerPC, x86). Skills in vulnerability research, vulnerability analysis and/or exploit development is preferred.
